New schedule

Needed some more flexibility during the evenings. So now, nothing essential needs to be done after work. Other than cleaning each night, and shopping once a week.

4:45 AM wake up

5:00 AM lift

5:45 AM cardio

6:20 AM commute, breakfast, get ready

(Try for breakfast at 6:35 AM)

7:15 AM study computer science, cybersecurity, and controls

7:30 AM or 7:45 AM study computer graphics (mostly working on thesis)

8:30 AM writing

8:50 AM art: classes and 50% rule

9:30 AM work

(During work: Planning, log hours, goal setting, first focus block for 50 mins -- close chats and email, no distractions)

11:50 AM music break

12:10 PM get lunch

12:30 PM PLW

1:00 PM work

(second and third 50-minute focus blocks, pick up new tickets)

(need to schedule a block to respond to gchats as well)

6:00 PM documentation and Trello sorting, check weekly assignments on Trello

6:30 PM free

Activities: Dinner and a show, prep gym bag, cleaning, video games, reading, messaging friends online, shopping, building some Legos, Adobe Express work, working on homelab or PC. When it warms up, we can also go swimming or take a walk.

Ideally, do 20 more minutes of art.

If extra work is needed, it'll go here, but I need to clean something every day :)

7:45 PM or 8 PM get ready for bed

8:30 PM meditation

8:45 PM bed

If I need to be off by 6 PM, take only 10 minutes for a music break. For lunch itself, eat for 15, and walk for 15. Stay close to the apartment.

Breaks should be regular (around each hour) and fully restorative. Deep breaths, closing your eyes, relaxing.

Today it took me too long to get ready in the morning, but I'll work on that.

Suggested order of night activities (totally optional):

  • Cleaning
  • Prep gym bag
  • Games
  • Watch a show
  • More art
  • Reading: original, FF, WC
  • Also read for writing group
  • Legos, Adobe Express and Research, homelab/pc work
Ideally, I should be doing 1-2 hours of art per day. This is a good enough baseline schedule, but I will need to explore further avenues to add more.
