School Assessment: 8/30 - 9/21
It's been an interesting semester so far, to say the least. It really took me off-guard. ADHD has been slamming me for some reason. Maybe I should get on accommodations, but I keep forgetting...
CS 601 (HCI): Doing well so far, but need to seriously up my participation. I keep falling asleep as well because my brain is already fried from 655 right before. I have an A so far though.
CS 655 (Graphics): I'm behind, but I'm catching up. The raytracer rewrite really took me off-guard, and my first lab grade will probably be less than optimal. I may write about ray tracing here, but not until after I've caught up. I'm running low on time for the next assignment which is due in a week, so I'd better push. This class is at 8 AM, which means that I am consistently 20 minutes late for it. I really need to fix that, somehow. I hate that I'm always late. If -- and this is a huge IF -- I can catch up this week, and STAY caught up, I will be fine grade-wise. Considering that everything is getting colder and I'm spending more time indoors this should be doable.
CS 650 (Vision): Almost nothing has happened in this class. However, it's about to get pretty intense with our first project meeting this afternoon. Need to brush up on my deep learning and neural networks knowledge. Need to start asking questions in class so my participation grade is good.
Senior film: I'm behind. I should be caught up by Wednesday.
Work: It's been OK but I keep finding myself thinking about my 655 raytracer. I dream about my raytracer. Like I'm pretty sure I dreamt about floating in a 3D world filled with simple shapes, and the lighting algorithm hadn't been applied yet. A nightmare. The raytracer is basically going to be my girlfriend until we finish it in like October or whenever.
Internship app: need to do more
Daily coding challenges: oh gosh I’ve got to fit this in somehow
Theme park design club: Oh man, I've got like 50 zillion messages about that. I hope we don't disappoint. It's kinda hard with no Disney Imaginations this year, again.
Mathematics and coding review: Behind.
Art review: Okay but I need to pick up the pace.
Writing and reading: Snail's pace. I need to produce more.
Fitness: It's very hard to do a full run when I have an 8 AM class. I've made some dangerous driving decisions to get there on time. This is not good, and needs to be rectified. Weight lifting is not happening. It needs to. I'm still running, just not ENOUGH.
Cyber: I'm behind on all my messages and forums right now, so I apologize to everyone I haven't responded to yet. On Facebook, or whatever. Just know that I'm drowning in an attempt to excel alongside executive dysfunction lol. Unfortunately, school has to come first, so this is getting pushed to the back burner...again. Same with gaming and TV -- tossed to the back-burner.
Imaginative work: has taken a back-seat. It really shouldn't.
Music: oh, this is on the worst back-burner it's ever been on.
Fun stuff: I will admit I did a lot of outdoor activities, trying to have fun before the cold and despair of winter sets in. I've done Wilkerson Farm, Lagoon and a bunch of water parks on Labor Day Weekend, the Utah State Fair, Lightbox, and FanX. Some of these probably contributed to my getting behind in 655 and senior film, but ultimately I've got to learn to balance.
Also, I need to finalize my autopilot schedule. And it is FREEZING outside.
