Worldbuilding: slow aging

In my fictional universe, in which the majority of my stories are set, I’m currently experimenting with natural longevity. Essentially, magical people living in a magical universe have their lives lengthened significantly. Age 100 is equivalent to age 10 here, for example. I haven’t worked out all the implications yet, or the physics (although the days and nights on my home planet are extremely long). I am also trying to figure out how I could logically make age consistent across different planets in the universe, or maybe just make everyone have 2 ages (with their universe age being more important than their planetary age). I’m not sure.

This way, you get a super long childhood (yay!) and other such fun things. Time just passes much more slowly.

But I did see this on Reddit and it made me chuckle. It answers a lot of the questions I’ve gotten from alpha readers / writing groups about the age vs. maturity question. Although it applies to every species, humanoid and otherwise.
