autumn of ascent: sept through nov 2026

again

I've used this name before, and didn't quite get where I wanted to, but we're going to try again. This is from now until Thanksgiving

FUN ACTIVITIES

  • Lagoon, including Frightmares = regular, with pass
  • Cornbellys, including Frightbellys and Scaryville = regular, with pass
  • Aquarium  = regular, with pass, renew pass before November
  • Utah State Fair = this weekend
  • Water Slides:
    • Outdoor = season done, all outdoor parks closed :(
    • Indoor = season begins, don't forget to do them even with fall fairs in the mix
  • Kuwahara Wholesale: Pick a day and commit to it.
  • Ricochet Canyon and Liberty Park: Useful for later November; optional.
  • FanX: Saturday pass already bought.
  • Hogle Zoo: only once because their season pass is for chumps.
FITNESS
  • Outdoor Swimming: Pool open at least through September 28th
  • Leaf Walks: Don't skip September; the cool transition of the trees is fascinating to watch.
  • 5K through Marathon training and racing (Currently getting over an injury, so won't list any specific races yet)
  • Bodybuilding: Focus on eccentric
  • Prehab and Yoga
  • Park Walks
GOALS
  • Drawtober Challenge
  • Playtesting video games (I am hoping I'll be able to playtest ScareZone: Haunted Attraction Tycoon)
  • Horror gaming as well as regular gaming, just get through backlog, play daily
  • Write 3000 words per week (tracked on Trackbear)
  • Launch FULL CODE sequence, including daily coding DSA-related challenges, and my project sequence core SEQUENCED PROPERLY in between my formal studies: OSS as well as my personal projects (app, video game, messaging app, worldbuilding/writing software, forum, corn maze GIS?)
  • Get that paper ready to go, fully. Need to sit down and work hard on it.
  • Fix engineering block, add a 15-minute sitdown portion
  • Loish art challenges: I've been lurking on the discord and Patreon forever, and it's super useful, but I need to also actually do what I am paying for :)
  • Clean apartment (yeah)
  • Outdoor READING, including in hammock
    • And indoor reading on cold days, make it cozy.
  • Music: fix block
  • Watch horror movies as well as other movies
Theme park every Saturday, as always. Gaming every night, with longer sessions on Saturdays.

To be honest, most of this is already in place to happen. But there will be many tweaks and adjustments required. This window is super short and it will be all over in a flash if you do not pay attention.

The only way out of stagnancy is through. Push. Ascend.

And then when Thanksgiving arrives, you can eat a crapload of food and then pass out knowing that you're on the right track.
