Bridgedays approaches

Where summer and fall overlap.  Me: fall is going to be awesome. Corn mazes and bonfires and getting into bed all cozy, drawtober, the lights of my PC in the darkness, pumpkin patches, roller coasters, more writing and reading good books... Also me: BUT SUMMER IS LEAVING 😭 Yeah, I dunno. I guess both can be true at the same time. until then, let's enjoy that weird period of time when fire and ice collide, where you can leave a corn maze and 20 minutes later be at the water park under the changing leaves.

theme park internet drama? seriously?

What is going on over there in Gatlinburg?  People are flipping out at Adventure Is Out There for taking...explicitly allowed pictures...of the Nightflight Expedition boats.  OOH, IT IS A BOAT THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE CONCEPT ART! SO SPOILERY! AAAAAAA Facebook drama is so weird. I just unfollowed BAD Adventures because I do not have the energy for this BS. Why do you care? What is going on in the beautiful area of Sevier County? I don't know, and I don't have the spoons to find out. I just show up once a year to run races at Dolly.

Crappy story idea of the day

Vampires with bruxism.  They have trouble drinking blood because their teeth are too blunt.  #DentistSaidIGrindInMySleepCuzTheGrindNeverStops

I feel weirdly a lot better

Fun spot ATL and SFOG were honestly amazing. Idk why I felt so tired going in. I'm no longer sick of airports and planes and I'm not sure how I ever was. I'm READY to go to Indiana and Kentucky next weekend lol.  That said, I still do really need some calm weekends.

Who am I?

Here you go, because I confuse people somehow.  I am a tech geek. I have a computer science degree focused on animation and games, and I love coding, hacking, homelabs, gaming, and game development. I keep up with tech and coding news and love my gadgets. I eschew business and those who are only in tech for the money or because they didn't know what else to do.  I am a digital artist and animator. I love Art Fight and creating fantasy illustrations. I dream of having my own booth at a con's artist alley one day.  I am a fantasy and science fiction writer. I read daily and aim to become published in order to write full time.  I am a fan. I love books, movies, games, anime. When I get into a world or franchise, I go all-in. I enjoy conventions for this reason and attend at least 3 per year (SDCC, FanX, and LTUE).  I am a musician. I play clarinet and piano and dream of playing classically as part of a wind symphony. I listen to lots of music too.  I am a roll...

sleepy

getting to WDW a day before visiting any parks and just having a leisurely midmorning run along the resorts after a good night's rest would fix me  like just feeling the quiet ambience of the resorts and just being there  but without the pressure yet so would having a normal summer saturday  Honestly kind of stressed about this weekend. I have to catch a flight tonight at 5:55 PM and I will be arriving in Atlanta shortly before midnight, a city I've never been to. I will then drive to Austell for my hotel, and the next morning I will immediately attempt to ride ArieForce One, the other 2 credits at Fun Spot Atlanta before they shut down the whole thing in 3 days, and then all of SFOG.  On a day when thunderstorms are predicted.  There's a bit too much going on this summer and I just want some of those summer haze days, risky as they are.  I have another trip the very next weekend and I haven't taken a day off from caffeine in quite a few weeks.

marathon training and lifting during SDCC

because no one wrote an article about this.  A few observations: you can do it, but it's probably better to take it as a deload week due to all the walking, standing, and jostling on top of the runs. my calves are so shot that I didn't run at all today. BUT, again, you CAN do it.  while there are less crowds running towards the airport from the Star of India, you can only get about 4.4 miles without running into Liberty Station and having to run through random shopping districts  and you can't really run the famous Embarcadero route because it's full of Hall H queuers -- the paths are not all open. you can run one of the parks, but not the one near the con If you run towards Seaport from the Star of India you will run out of path, even with taking the peninsulas, after about 2.9 miles.  so much looping. so much freaking looping around to hit mileage targets. holy hell.  Please note, all of this assumes starting at the Hotel Little Italy / Courtyard Marriott Litt...
