The allergies are beginning. Breathing normally is for chumps
During allergy season, I don't just get itchy and sneezy. I also get shortness of breath, which sucks.
I start to get weird bursts of euphoria at this time of year. I am not having one right now, but I did a few days ago. When they happen, I suddenly want to get out and explore the world again. And I stop stressing so much about stuff.
I'm still using my Verliux HappyLight because it's cloudy as crap, but the world is beginning to show signs of life.
Unfortunately, the boosted mood is tempered somewhat by raging allergies, as per usual. I start to wonder "did I ACTUALLY take my medications today? because it sure doesn't feel like it". I've had year-round allergies since I was in kindergarten that always get way worse in the spring, or at least, kindergarten is when I first recall going outside and thinking "hmm, it feels like I am suffocating and my eyes are itching uncontrollably"
The suffocating feeling is quite bad today. Lots of shortness of breath. I've taken my inhaler and extra Flonase/Astepro (doing extra of those nasal sprays is probably not actually a good idea! Do not do this! But I already take over the recommended dose as per instructions from my allergist, as well as two 24-hour pills, Zyrtec and Xyzal, also per instruction from my allergist)
Work is already brutal. I am looking forward to 7 PM when I can finally take my evening dose of Xyzal.
It's the sycamores today. I am strongly allergic to them. Check it out:
Yes it says California but whatever is growing here is also a problem.
Also anytime an allergy index insists that it won't be that bad for sufferers today...They are wrong.
How high does the sycamore grow?
If you cut it down, then you'll never know...
(But if you don't, then you will have respiratory problems! Hooray!)
