Overlord Zucc allowed us to put songs on our profiles again
But ONLY 10.
Also we can't put books we like, for reasons that only the lizard people understand.
MY CURRENT BATCH OF SONGS:
- Slipknot, The Negative One: I am someone who struggles with negativity. This isn't always apparent when you first meet me, especially because I can be humorous or entertaining. People get upset when I show actual emotion. I do not like that at all. I hope you live to see the day when your world goes up in flames.
- Insane Clown Posse, Under the Moon: The feeling of rotting, waiting for someone who may never return. Look here, fuck you and the moon.
- Hazbin Hotel Cast, Brighter: When you know that you'll do anything to achieve your dreams. You'll work yourself into the ground to make it happen. If you want it, just take it; the world's yours, don't waste it; go make the stars align.
- Ghostemane, Plague Doctor Mask 2: I'm terrified of losing people that I love. And yet, I have to accept that not only are we all going to die, but that the next life is what is most important. Put 'em in a hole in the ground.
- The Smiths, There is a Light That Never Goes Out: This always makes me think of the light in Walt Disney's office at Disneyland that never goes out. But more broadly, themes of feeling lonely, being too scared to pursue love, feeling hopeless because of it. To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die.
- Owl City, On the Wing: My favorite song ever written. It would be my theme song if I had one. It's about fantasizing so intensely that it feels real. I'm dreaming you're out in the blue, and I am right beside you.
- Alternative: Owl City, The Real World: This song affected me so much that I have always named my Macbook terminals "Paint the Dusk Venetian Blue". I don't really think that reality is a lovely place, but I can see why Adam says that. And I wouldn't want to live there either. With a starry brush, paint the dusk Venetian blue, 'cause in the evening hush, you'll never believe the view. I ended up using On the Wing, but this would be the backup.
- Woods of Ypres, Your Ontario Town is a Burial Ground: You will never tell me that I am doing "too much". Your excuses are copouts. If you gave up on your dreams, then to me, you are already dead, and I will not listen to you. But I think you took the easy way out. For if you're not dreaming anymore, you're already dead.
- Evanescence, Your Star: The feeling of longing for someone, but knowing that they aren't there, and you have to save yourself. And hating that fact. All my fears turn to rage, and I'm alone now.
- Nightwish, Last Ride of the Day: Represents my love of theme parks and more broadly, fantasy worlds in general. The LROTN (Last ride of the night) is an experience that is hard to explain in words, yet Nightwish captures it. The whole song uses a day at a theme park as a metaphor for life. Wake up, dead boy, enter adventureland.
- Tuomas is a fellow Disney Adult so he is DEFINITELY referencing ACTUAL Adventureland here. :) Let's ride Indiana Jones!
- Blue October, Sound of Heaven Pulling Down: Feels like a beautiful and heartfelt love song, about something that lasts far beyond this world. Also, it mentions water slides. That said, I was hoping to use 18th Floor Balcony, but it wasn't there. So this one works too. I'd assemble all the sand that covers wedding beaches -- something about the way Justin says wedding makes me shiver. It makes me believe that I could have one, someday.
I'd like to put Emilie Autumn on there too. Just not sure how yet. Stand by...
