Sleep vs exercise: an actual dilemma
Like I accidentally stayed up 45 minutes too late because I have ADHD and I lost track of time, so what do I cut from? My sleep or my workout? Googling this leads to a bunch of hand-wringing doctors: “They’re both so important! I can’t imagine cutting either! You should always have both!” Like yes Linda, if we all lived in sterile lab environments where nothing bad ever happened, this would be doable. But we don’t. I need practical advice, right now, like should I set my alarm for later or not? Crickets.
So, which one do I choose? Get up at 5 am anyway, still sleeping 7h but not 8, or get up at like 5:30, sleep 8, and then be screwed over for my workout, having to cut from it? I just don’t know. I never do.
I might try 5 as a hard wake-up time. But also maybe not. Idk.
