Summer 2022 Saga: Summervale/Eternisummer (again)

I like to theme my life with imaginative fantasy stories in order to make it more exciting, often tying them into the 4 seasons (5 on the planet of Rogza, which is my home base in my paracosm). The goal is to connect my personal goals with my faraway wishes. I'm continuing the Eternisummer theme from last fall, because I kinda fell off the map with it. I will probably continue with it through the fall and winter as well.

Also, I should've written this in May, but better late than never.

Consider this a prequel to what's in the above link -- and I will mostly just recycle it come late September.

SUMMERVALE

Living in a nonmagical universe is rough, especially when time is so limited. The 24-hour days are insufficient to fit everything in, and yet, there is so much that needs to be done.

Through the following summer, fall, and winter, before spring hits again, it is of utmost importance that we do the following:

  • Finish our current novel, then begin writing a second novel (probably Eternisummer) which will stick to a strict production schedule and word count.
  • Finish our art tutorial schedule (mainly: all 3D animation and VFX software, drawing, figure drawing, 2D animation, and digital painting in Photoshop).
  • Doing the 50% rule for Drawabox with both 2D and 3D art
  • Excel at our current internship, beating the odds to finish our entire project.
  • Review the entirety of mathematics on Khan Academy through differential equations, as well as physics and electrical engineering.
  • Code a fluid simulator and begin our master's thesis (or project).
  • Prepare pieces in clarinet, piano, and singing (alongside piano) to get back on track with regular musical practice.
  • Increase strength and running speed, and decrease fat, following the IIFYM meal plan too.
  • Finish our basic programming schedule, consisting of an undergraduate material review, software engineering principles, graphics programming, hardware, and game/web/mobile applications development.
  • Learn how to access other universes and worlds, via immersive daydreaming, lucid dreaming, astral projection, intensive meditation, forcing, and reality shifting.
  • Obtain our first PLC certification.
  • Get As in every single course we take.
  • Finish Cracking the Coding Interview and then begin Leetcoding regularly.
  • Obtain the Google IT Support Fundamentals cert, and CompTIA ITF+, as well as the CompTIA trifecta, for cybersecurity.
  • Start doing CTFs after that.
  • Build the Lego Bonsai that has been sitting on my desk for who knows how long.
  • Get caught up and current on all of our fandoms: TV shows, games, reading, movies, and webcomics.
  • Start replying regularly to messages online, and remain consistent with that.
And at the same time, each summer needs to be more productive, fun, and action-packed than the one before it. We want to experience water parks, theme parks, zoos, carnivals, and nature.

We will create an Excel spreadsheet to complement our Trello board that will track all of these things so we don't die lol.

What are the secrets of Summervale? It is the country directly east of our home country of Nightforest, wide and expansive, consisting of sweeping sunlit, warm forests in the mountains -- barely touched by the seasons -- and miles of beaches. The Gardener Elise, as seen in the above link, is from Summervale, and wants to bring a bit of the magic of the land of eternal summer here to Nightforest. She hasn't decided exactly what she will do yet, but it will likely be starting a second Garden here.

Of course, we have a touch of eternal summer in Nightforest. The beaches and southern metropolis of Rattlesnake City are effectively subtropical and tropical. But the mountains in which we live, in cities such as Mountain Evening, Chestnut, and Autumn's Vale, are temperate, resulting from a rapid upward incline which causes many of the homes in Rattlesnake City to be situated on steep slopes.

But can we have more than that?

For now, we will live up summer. We will attend the Jungle Nights parties in the country of Tropalaya (yes, I probably need a better name than that) and be outdoors as much as possible, while still making tons of progress in our personal work. We will explore Summervale, to understand the magic and mysteries deep within that make the light never die. Our brand, our art, will be perfected this summer. We will live up the long, bright, hot days with enthusiasm and vigor, striving to achieve the magic of a summer haze and never let it die -- even when the warmth eventually fades.

Or, if all things go according to plan, it may never fade again.

And no matter what, summer 2023 will be the best yet. So we will need to prepare for that, starting now.
