summer people: we won

Or so it feels at the end of every long, dragged-out winter here. I am working to build a better life for myself and move.

But this should be the last cold day, I think. So after today, we are done. If all goes according to plan -- and that's a big IF every year, but the odds ARE in our favor -- I could have a Memorial Day weekend that looks something like this:

Friday after work

  • Leave a little early (work a little late on Thursday) to leave for Provo Recreation Center
  • At Provo Rec, do a brief workout, then: OUTDOOR SLIDES!
  • After the slides, order some pizza via DoorDash.
  • Go home, eat the pizza.
  • Have a nice relaxing Friday night.
Saturday
  • Lifting
  • Running: Long Run
  • Lagoon and Lagoon-a-beach: Ride the 2 new District rides and otherwise do the water park
  • Walk the Lagoon trail
  • Cherry Hill
  • Go home to work on goals
  • Hammock reading / park walk
  • Dinner -- go out to eat
  • Games
Sunday
  • Sleep in, lucid dreaming
  • Park walks
  • Work on goals -- outdoors if possible
  • Picnic
Monday
  • Lifting
  • Running
  • Race 5K (Run of Remembrance)
  • Cowabunga Bay
  • Splash Summit
  • Goals
  • Get some food, early to bed.
Goal timeline has been rough-drafted. I've got a year from yesterday to get this all underway. The hard part is breaking it down into smaller pieces when you can't really estimate how long something will take.
