I am once again bandless

I've mentioned before that I ghosted the West Jordan Concert Band. I loved that band, but when they moved from the West Jordan Library area (35 minutes away from me) to Copper Hills High School (55 minutes away from me with extreme traffic and construction) I had to quit.

So I joined the Lehi Silver Band. Was absolutely loving it.

And then they said "Oh, we are switching to Tuesday nights now" even though many of us said we couldn't make that night. Why? Because they wanted a bigger building to rehearse in.

Writing group has to come first. And I'm tired of asking them to switch nights to accommodate band. I am not going to do it anymore.

There goes half your clarinet section...but unfortunately, clarinet players are everywhere. It does kinda suck to feel like you were thrown away. Like if you really wanted us in your band, you would've make the sacrifices to allow us to stay.

I'm not doing any bands right now. I'm just going to take a summer break, still practicing, and then find a new band for the thousandth time in the fall. Or maybe I will finally take lessons. I really need to just start cranking up the intensity/skill and get into an actual band that's super hardcore and consistent but I am not ready for that yet.

I hope they enjoy their large, empty rehearsal building lol.

I am going to think about this every time I listen to Frozen music because that's what we played at our last concert. To be honest, I was upset enough that I almost just ditched the concert entirely, but I decided I would follow through. I just wasn't very happy about it, especially since I had to give up Lagoon's opening weekend.
